The Mapache adventure began in 2015 when Jonathan and François-Xavier, both co-founders of the brand, traveled across Mexico in search of the country's most beautiful treasures. Among the latter, the traditional Mexican huarache that they spot in the heart of the state of Michoacán. This braided leather shoe is handmade by talented artisans, using an ancestral technique and rigorous know-how.
Our adventurers at heart then had the click: they decided to found Mapache with the ambition of spreading this craft and making the Mexican sun shine in Europe, all in an ethical and committed way.
