Hello everyone, my name is Mathilde Laheyne, creative entrepreneur, between communication, yoga and the topic of the day; the creation of my ethical feminine brand.
Today, I dedicate a large part of my daily life to physical as well as mental well-being. I advocate a more responsible and slower lifestyle. Clothes purchased consciously, taking simple moments by the sea, spending time in nature, creating and drawing my next collection ideas under the sun of the Basque country (a magical moment!).
I owe my eco-responsible commitment to a trigger, an awareness: encounters and moments of life! Lucie, one of my most beautiful encounters. I am moving towards the eco-responsible world, whether for my apartment, my food or in fashion. Something really clicked during our conversations. I want to change this fashion world a little and defend our values!
In this sense, I support the cleaning of our Basque beaches, new projects by young creators that make sense, and some associations for animals.
The way I perceive the world around me and interact with others has been heavily influenced by my travels. I lived on Reunion Island, between kindness and mixed cultures, and I was able to discover the surrounding countries: an inspiration that continues to nourish me.
Since we are focusing on Reunion Island, let me tell you an anecdote: it was there in my canvas shorts from a local store that I discovered the most beautiful beaches and also my best sunburns! I will always remember this sunburn which lasted more than two months in the tan line of these little shorts: one of my first moments on the island.
I like to think that the desire to support noble causes is contagious. So if I had to give advice to those who haven't yet taken the plunge: give one compliment per day and one sincere good deed per week. It's often free and even 1 euro or a share provides the best support.
However, adopting a more ethical and responsible lifestyle is not a linear process; I myself always go shopping… without bags! ¾ of the time I forget them at home... so I get some again or I struggle with my shopping cart to unpack in the car, I think you can imagine me... so, I might as well laugh about it: lightness above all else !
